What Goes Into Every Capsule
Quality at Thao Hien Herbs is not a marketing claim — it is a documented, verifiable process from raw herb sourcing to finished product release. Here is exactly how we ensure the safety, potency, and purity of every product we sell.
Our Quality Standards
GMP Certified Manufacturing
All Thao Hien Herbs products are manufactured in a facility that operates under Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) regulations as defined by the FDA for dietary supplements. This means rigorous controls over sourcing, processing, testing, and packaging.
Third-Party Laboratory Testing
Every batch is independently tested by an accredited third-party laboratory before release. Testing covers: identity and potency of active herb extracts, heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury), microbial contamination, and pesticide residues.
5:1 Concentrated Extracts
We use concentrated extracts rather than raw herb powder. A 5:1 ratio means each gram of extract required five grams of raw herb to produce — delivering therapeutic potency in a reasonable daily dose. Raw powder products require large quantities to be effective.
No Fillers or Additives
Our capsules contain only concentrated herbal extract. No magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, or other common excipients. The capsule shell is vegetable cellulose (HPMC) — plant-based and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Classical Formula Validation
Our formulas are derived from classical TCM texts with centuries of documented use. We cross-reference classical formulas against modern phytochemical and clinical research to ensure the rationale for each ingredient combination is sound.
Transparent Ingredient Labeling
We do not use proprietary blends. Every ingredient is listed individually with its amount per serving. You always know exactly what you are taking and at what dose — no hidden formulas.
From Herb to Capsule: Our Process
Raw Herb Sourcing
Herbs are sourced from certified suppliers in China, Taiwan, and the USA. Certificates of analysis (COA) are required for every batch. Herbs are identified by trained botanists to verify species authenticity.
Extraction & Concentration
Herbs are processed using aqueous extraction at controlled temperatures to preserve active compounds. The extract is concentrated to a standardized ratio (typically 5:1) and spray-dried to a stable powder.
Third-Party Testing
Concentrated extract is sent to an accredited lab before production. Tests confirm active marker compound levels, screen for heavy metals (ICP-MS), pesticide residues (LC-MS/MS), and microbial contamination.
Encapsulation & QC Release
Tested extract is encapsulated in vegetable cellulose capsules in our GMP facility. A final QC review checks fill weight, capsule integrity, and label accuracy before release.
